The Mount Twigg is one of a flowing northward glaciers halved mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 26 km southeast of Mount Maguire near the head of the Lambert Glacier .
It was mapped between 1956 and 1958 using aerial photographs and surveys as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Dudley Raymond Twigg (* 1928), radio traffic supervisor at Mawson Station in 1958.
