Mount Van Pelt ( French Mont Van Pelt ) is a 2000 m high, steep and rocky mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the northern part of the Queen Fabiola Mountains, it rises immediately east of Mount DeBreuck .
Participants in a Belgian Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1959 to 1961 discovered it on October 7, 1960. Expedition leader Guido Derom (1923–2005) named the mountain after Guy Van Pelt, radio operator on the reconnaissance flights on this research trip.
