The Mount Warner is a 500 ft (152.4 m ) high elevation, an eponymous, 156 on the acres (63.1 ha ) large protected area is that of the organization The Trustees of Reservations is managed. The survey is near the city of Hadley in the state of Massachusetts in the United States .
Protected area
Mount Warner, originally an island in the Glacial Lake Lake Hitchcock , offers excellent views of the Connecticut River Valley . Old cart and forest trails testify to the agricultural and forestry past of the area, which lies between the university town of Amherst and the Connecticut River within the North Hadley Historic District . The protected area, which was used by the Abenaki as a hunting area more than 8000 years ago , is part of a protection zone of around 200 hectares.
