Mount Worsley is a 1104 m high mountain on the island of South Georgia . It rises up on the western flank of the Briggs Glacier .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the mountain during its 1951-1957 campaign . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the New Zealand captain and polar explorer Frank Worsley (1872-1943), participant and skipper in the endurance expedition (1914-1917) under the direction of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton .
