The 16 designated routes are designed as circular routes. The tours have different levels of difficulty and are suitable for both sport and leisure. The range of tours includes lengths of up to 70 km and cumulative height differences of up to 1400 m.

A challenging course has also been set up at Neuhaus im Solling , consisting of single trail , forest path and freeride sections.

There is also a downhill route near Merxhausen , which is also used as a dual-cross route.

Sponsorship

The sponsor is the "Zweckverband Naturpark Solling-Vogler" set up by the state of Lower Saxony and the districts of Holzminden and Northeim .

Signage

Emergency sign at Abbecke

The signposts contain a green MTB and cycling symbol and a green direction triangle on a white background. In addition, there are colored squares with white numbers on the signs at important intersections. These squares next to the green arrow on the white sign indicate the level of difficulty of a route. Blue squares mark easy routes, red medium difficulty (e.g.  15  ) and black difficult routes. The marking thus corresponds to the standard proposed by the ADFC .

Emergency signs have been in place at prominent points such as clearings, outskirts or forest parking lots since 2012. These are red and white signs with an identifier . Those seeking help who make an emergency call at these points using a mobile phone can be taken care of particularly quickly by the rescue service. The Lower Saxony State Forests provided a mobile app for this purpose.
