Mountainview Ridge is a gentle and snow-covered mountain range in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It forms the southeastern extension of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The geological team of the University of Minnesota , who explored the area on an expedition that lasted from 1963 to 1964, named it after the spectacular view of various high peaks of the Sentinel Range that it offers.
