Mourad Bencheikh

Mourad Bencheikh (* before 1979 in Laghouat ) is an Algerian diplomat .

Life

He worked in the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and represented his country as ambassador in many countries. From 1979 to 1982 he served as ambassador to Japan , from 1982 to 1984 in Kenya , from 1984 to 1989 in Italy and from 1989 to 1992 in China . From 1994 to 2000 he was ambassador to Northern Europe with headquarters in Stockholm in Sweden , from 2000 to 2004 an assignment in Germany and from 2004 to 2010 in South Africa , from 2005 also in Botswana , he was also the Algerian ambassador to the nutrition and food industry United Nations Agricultural Organization in Rome . In 2010 he became ambassador in Rabat in Morocco, an important neighboring country for Algeria . He is said to have belonged to the core of the Algerian secret service MALG, the later DRS .

In November 2011 he retired.
