Moyes Corrie is a south-west facing mountain basin on Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located between Hydrurga Cove and Moyes Point above the Fyr Channel .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1947 and 1950. Aerial photographs were taken in 1968 by the Royal Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2004 based on the name of the neighboring headland. It is named after William Moyes (1887–1950), representative of the British government on Signy Island from 1912 to 1913.
