German Mozart Society
The German Mozart Society (DMG) is an association founded in 1951 in Augsburg, the birthplace of Leopold Mozart , to maintain the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . It has 13 regional Mozart associations in Germany.
The DMG has the task of promoting the legacy of Mozart's work both practically and scientifically, in particular the Mozarthaus Augsburg .
Among other things, it organizes the Mozart Festival in the Mozart City of Augsburg and is the sponsor of the New Mozart Edition .
