The pavilion at the city villa Mozartstrasse 19a is in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The building was built in 1916. It was entered into the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on December 4, 1984 under no. M 010 .

location

Mozartstrasse is located on the edge of the colorful garden directly on Beethovenstrasse.

architecture

The property is a garden pavilion on the corner of Mozartstrasse and Beethovenstrasse. The pavilion of the former Villa Hecht is very elaborately designed. The comparatively generously dimensioned garden house rises above an octagonal floor plan , with three closed sides leaning against the garden wall near the protective corner. The front five sides of the octagon are marked by four slender high columns; in the area of the closed walls, the octagonal division is emphasized by pilasters . The parapet wall is only left open in the entrance area .

The decorative decoration of the interior is exceptional. It corresponds to the equipment of a winter garden : the ceiling is provided with stucco applications , while the walls are clad with light green ceramic tiles , interspersed with relief-like motif tiles (reptiles).
