Mr. Kayen (born February 9, 1993 in Aachen as Moritz Kreis) is a German-Belgian DJ and music producer of electro house , hip-hop and pop music .

Life

Musical career

With a remix of the song Never-ending Story by the original artist Limahl , Mr. Kayen achieved his first small hit in summer / autumn 2019. The song, which was originally released as the score for The Neverending Story in 1984 and was known for its typical 1980s synth sounds, was used in the third season of the hit series Stranger Things by Netflix . Mr. Kayen produced a modern version of the song and published it on July 10, 2019, first on YouTube , and then a week later as a title on the major streaming platforms and music providers. The remix reached several chart placements in Belgium and Slovakia .

He made his musical start at the age of 15. It was not until 2015, at the age of 23, that he began performing as a DJ and releasing songs under the stage name Mr. Kayen. At the beginning in cooperation with the VEVO network and the record company Spinnin 'Records . Today he publishes his music on his own with the record company OnlyTheOne Music.
