history

According to the company, Mriya was founded in 1992 by Iwan and Klaudia Guta as a family farm. Initially only 50 hectares were cultivated; by 1994 the area under cultivation grew to up to 150 hectares.

In 1995 potato cultivation was modernized. In addition, the first large-scale equipment was purchased, which in 1996 was used to cultivate a total area of ​​500 hectares.

In 1998 the first silo with a capacity of 3,500 tons was built. A major contract for the supply of potatoes for the production of potato chips was concluded. The acreage had grown to 1,000 hectares.

In 2001 the company opened its own agricultural school. The vehicle fleet was expanded. The area under cultivation was now up to 3,000 hectares and rose to 10,000 hectares by 2005.

In 2008 up to 20% of the company's shares were placed as GDRs on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The cultivated area had grown to up to 100,000 hectares.

In 2009, Mriya started up its seed processing factory, which has a capacity of 300 tons per day. Up to 477,000 tons of grain and oil fruits were produced. By taking over land, the area under cultivation grew to over 200,000 hectares.

In 2011 the company founded the agricultural training center Ukrainian Agricultural School , which, according to the school, maintains partnerships with the University of Hohenheim, which is particularly involved in agricultural sciences , and the German Agricultural Center in Ukraine (DAZ) cooperative project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection . The cultivation area was now almost 300,000 hectares.

Products

According to its own information, the company cultivates agricultural areas totaling almost 300,000 hectares, which are located within a radius of up to 150 km from the operational headquarters.

The main crops are wheat , rape , corn , sugar beet , potatoes , buckwheat , barley , peas and soybeans .
