Muddathir Abdel-Rahim Al-Tayib

Muddathir Abdel-Rahim Al-Tayib ( Arabic مدّثر عبد الرحيم الطيّب, DMG Muddaṯir ʿAbd ar-Raḥīm aṭ-Ṭayyib ; * 1932 in ad-Damir , Sudan ) is a professor of political science and Islamic studies at the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Malaysia .

Life

He received his education at the University of Khartoum .

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter " A Common Word Between Us and You " ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... “) (October 13, 2007).
