Mufrid (also Muphrid , from Arabic مفرد الرامح, DMG mufrad ar-rāmiḥ  , single lance bearer ') is the proper name of the star η Bootis ( Eta Bootis) in the constellation Bear Guardian . It represents the right foot of the mythological figure.

Mufrid has an apparent magnitude of 2.8 mag, which makes it the third brightest star in the boat despite the 7th Greek letter η. It belongs to the spectral class G0 and is about 37 light-years away from the sun (Hipparcos database). Other name: Saak .
