Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid
Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid ( Arabic محمد صالح المنجد, DMG Muḥammad Ṣāliḥ al-Munaǧǧid ; * December 30, 1960 (1380 AH )) is a Salafist preacher from Saudi Arabia and operator of the website islamqa.info.
Life
Al-Munajjid was born in Aleppo , Syria, in 1960 and is a Palestinian with a Syrian passport. He grew up in Saudi Arabia, where he continues to live. Al-Munajjid attended King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Zahran and graduated with a Bachelor in Industrial Management. He learned Islamic law from the Islamic scholar Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz . He also studied with the scholars Muhammad ibn al-Uthaymin , Abdullah Ibn Jibreen , Saleh al-Fawzan and Abd ar-Rahman al-Baraak . He is an imam and teacher in the “Umar ibn Abd al-'Aziz Mosque” in Al-Khobar . According to the Baden-Württemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, it owes its popularity to numerous television appearances; his anti-Western hate speech is just as popular as his legal opinions ( fatwa ), which have been translated into several languages . Al-Munajjid appears occasionally on the Saudi satellite channel Iqra TV as well as on Al-Majd TV and in its weekly broadcast on the radio station Holy Quran (Idhaa'at al-Qur'aan il-Kareem).
In December 2003, the US State Department intervened when Munajjid with Saudi diplomatic status wanted to enter an Islamic conference in Houston .

Editorial control is exercised by al-Munajjid, who examines, prepares, revises and comments on questions and answers about Islam. According to Alexa Internet , it is one of the ten most visited Salafist websites . Islamqa.info offers a fatwa database and is published in 12 languages (English, Chinese, Uighur, French, Spanish, Japanese, Indonesian, Russian, Hindi, Turkish, Arabic, Urdu).
Positions
Munajid considers homosexuality “one of the greatest sins” and advocates the execution of homosexuals in unspecified ways. Women should cover their entire body including hands and face and only show their eyes. In a fatwa in January 2016, Munajid stipulated that a man, married or not, may have sexual intercourse with a slave in his possession and that his wife or wives have no right to object. At the same time, he describes slavery as "in principle undesirable" and calls for the "fair and friendly" treatment of slaves.
