Muhedin Targaj (born March 19, 1955 ) is a former Albanian national soccer player .

career

Targaj's active playing career began in 1972 and ended in 1987. During this time he played for KS Dinamo Tirana , with whom he won five Albanian championship titles. Targaj was appointed to the Albanian national football team, for which he, at times also as team captain, completed 22 full international matches and scored three goals.

In the qualifying game against Germany on March 30, 1983 Targaj scored the Albanian goal with a hand penalty. It was the first Albanian goal against a German selection at all.

At the end of his career, Targaj worked, among other things, as manager of Dinamo Tirana from 2001 to 2005.
