Murabit al-Hajj
Muhammad Wald Fahfu al-Massumi (* 1913 ; died July 17, 2018), better known as Murabit al-Hajj ( DMG al-murābiṭ al-ḥaǧǧ ), was an influential Mauritanian Islamic scholar and ascetic of the Maliki school of law . He is one of the most important teachers of the American Islamic theologian Hamza Yusuf . In 2016 the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center named Murabit al-Hajj as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world.
