Muradnagar is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh . The city is located near Delhi and is part of the National Capital Region , which is why it is experiencing rapid population growth.

The city is part of the Ghaziabad district . Muradnagar has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad and is divided into 25 wards (constituencies). On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 95,208 inhabitants, of whom 43,029 were men and 38,414 were women. The literacy rate in Muradnagar is 73.63%, above the national average of 67.68%. It is 81.22% for men and 65.19% for women. In the city, Muslims make up 50.04% of the majority of the population, while Hindus make up 49.35% of the population.
