Murat Güngör

Murat Güngör (* 1969 in Tarsus , Turkey ) is a German musician , music producer and author of Turkish descent.

Life

Güngör studied cultural anthropology , sociology and politics in Frankfurt .

As a music producer he was significantly involved in building up his label and successfully touring Europe as an MC with DJ Mahmut under the name DJ Mahmut & Murat G. From 1997 to 2000 he also organized events such as the Frankfurt hip hop contest "Word Up".

In 1998 Güngör co-founded the anti-racist network " Kanak Attak ", of which he is still a member today and for which he also works musically.

With his non-fiction book Fear of a Kanak Planet , written together with Hannes Loh . HipHop between world culture and Nazirap (2002) he was on the road at multimedia "reading concerts" all over Germany.
