Murat Muqayev

Murat Rachmetuly Muqajew ( Kazakh Мұрат Рахметұлы Мұқаев , Russian Мурат Рахметович Мукаев Murat Rachmetowitsch Mukajew ; * 1969 ) is a Kazakh politician . From July 2017 to August 2019 he was mayor of the city of Oral .

Life

Murat Muqayev was born in West Kazakhstan in 1969 . He has a degree in Economics from the Agricultural Institute of West Kazakhstan and another degree in law from the Caspian University in Almaty .

Muqayev began his professional career in 1992 at the Tax Inspectorate of the former Furmanov District in Western Kazakhstan. From 1994 he worked in the Kazakh banking sector. He was first employed at the Igilik Bank branch in Oral and from 1996 headed the Halyk Bank regional branch . He then worked for the Kazakh customs authority from 1997. He then worked in the customs office in the Saiqyn border town in Western Kazakhstan and between 1999 and 2004 he held various positions in the customs control department of the Western Kazakhstan region. From 2004 to 2007 he was head of the customs office in Oral and then deputy head of the customs office in Öskemen in East Kazakhstan . From 2009 to 2011 he headed the customs office in Tasqala .

From 2011, Muqayev was employed by the Oral city council. On June 28, 2013, he was appointed Äkim of the Schänibek district in western Kazakhstan. As of May 25, 2016 he was Äkim of Terekti District . Since July 1, 2017, he has been the mayor of Oral. He was released from this post on August 12, 2019. Since August 14, 2019 he has been the first deputy party chairman of the regional branch of the Nur Otan party in western Kazakhstan.
