Murchehkhort

Murchehkhort , also: Morchehkhort ( Persian مورچه خورت, DMG Mūrče-Ḫūrt ), Iran , is a small town north of the city of Isfahan on the former main road to Tehran , which is still part of the Isfahan province .

The community is known for its carpets and bridges (small to medium-sized and mostly very valuable carpets). The products of this region are fine and have an even and firm structure. The half-high pile consists of strong, matt-glossy wool. The carpets usually show a stylish, BASED on small-scale Rautung repeat pattern on. Angular palmettes alternate with groups of strongly stylized flowers, bushes and arabesques .

The ground is mostly kept in warm, rust-red colors. The motifs in light and dark blue, strong green, orange-red or white appear particularly three-dimensional. It is not uncommon for the carpets to be based on the old jouschegans and are among the best productions of recent times. The knot density is usually around 280,000 Persian knots per  .
