The Diocese of Jagdalpur ( Latin Dioecesis Iagdalpurensis ) is a diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church, which is united with the Roman Catholic Church, with its seat in Jagdalpur in India .

history

Pope Paul VI founded the Apostolic Exarchate Jagdalpur on March 23, 1972 with the Apostolic Constitution Indorum gentes historia from cession of territory of the Apostolic Prefecture Raipur .

With the Apostolic Constitution Nobismet ipsis it was raised to an eparchy on February 26, 1977 and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bhopal as a suffragan diocese. On November 11, 2002 it became a part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Raipur .
