Simon Stock Palathara CMI (born October 11, 1935 in Chethipuzha ) is Bishop Emeritus of Jagdalpur .

Life

Simon Stock Palathara joined the Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate at and received on 1 December 1964, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Jagdalpur on December 16, 1992 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , Antony Cardinal Padiyara , on March 19 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Joseph Powathil , Archbishop of Changanacherry , and Eugene Louis D'Souza MSFS , Archbishop of Bhopal .

On July 16, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
