The Musée Cernuschi is a museum in Paris dedicated to the Asian arts . The focus of his collections is on the Far East: China , Japan , Korea .

The Italian-French politician and economist Henri Cernuschi left his collections to the city of Paris in 1896.

It is located in his stately private home near Parc Monceau , at 7 avenue Vélasquez , in the 8th arrondissement , near the Villiers metro station .

From 2001 to 2005 the building was completely renovated. It houses over 12,000 works and is one of the five largest collections of Chinese art in Europe . As with all collections managed by the City of Paris, entry is free.
