Today she lives in Kingsbury with her partner and daughter.
Career
1998-2005: Sugababes
Buena invited her friend Keisha Buchanan to make studio recordings that were planned for her and Siobhán Donaghy . The manager of the two then decided that the three should work together as a trio. They founded the Sugababes. Together they released the album One Touch , before Donaghy was replaced by Heidi Range in 2001 and they celebrated their breakthrough the following year with the album Angels with Dirty Faces . This was followed by four number 1 singles and two other successful albums before Buena announced her departure from the Sugababes on December 21, 2005. She was then replaced by Amelle Berrabah .
2006 to 2012: solo career
After Buena left the Sugababes, she began work on her solo album, which she released on Universal Records . At the end of 2006 she brought out the duet This Is Not Real Love together with George Michael . Without a video promotion, the single reached number 15 in the UK . Her debut album, Real Girl , was released in May 2006 in the UK and Ireland, where it reached the top 10. The first actively promoted single Real Girl was released on April 3, 2007 and reached number 2 on the UK charts. The song samples the song It Ain't Over Till It's Over by Lenny Kravitz . She next released song 4 Mutya (Out of Control) , a collaboration with Groove Armada. This song reached number 8 on the charts. The fourth single, Just a Little Bit , peaked at 65. She later worked with Amy Winehouse , with whom she released a cover version of the Ronettes' song Be My Baby . The song was named B Boy Baby and peaked at number 73 on the UK singles chart. In February 2008, the record label separated from her.
A short time later she made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother . In 2009 she was featured as a contributing artist in various music videos, none of which had much commercial success. She was on the song Be With You by Asher D , as well as in the song The Time Is Now by Don-E. She also worked with Agent X on his song Fallin and with Tah Mac on his song Give Back . Later that year she joined an association of artists from the US , Jamaica and the UK who were working on the duo NightShift's debut song called Can You Persuade Me . In September 2010 she contributed six songs to the album The Sound of Camden , for which she covered rock songs by bands such as U2 , Iron Maiden and The Pixies . The album is only available on the “Camden Town” market in London and via iTunes.
Although she had announced that she was leaving the music industry, she was working on a song again shortly afterwards. In January 2011 the collaboration with the group City Boy Soul, Be Ok , was published digitally. She also worked on the song Give Me Love by DJ and producer Paul Morrell . The song was released on May 2, 2011.
Since 2012: Mutya Keisha Siobhan
On July 20, 2012 it was announced via Siobhan Donaghy's Twitter account and the music website Popjustice that the original members of the Sugababes had reformed under a new name. Since then the band has performed under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan .
