Three ( German : Drei ) is the third studio album by the British girl group Sugababes . It was released on October 27, 2003. It is the second album of the second line-up, consisting of Keisha Buchanan , Mutya Buena and Heidi Range . The album went double platinum in the UK.
Background information
Each of the three members recorded a "solo" song for the album. These are Whatever Makes You Happy (Keisha Buchanan), Sometimes (Heidi Range) and Maya (Mutya Buena), which is dedicated to Buena's sister Maya, who died in 2002. After the first single made it into the American charts, the album was planned to be released in the USA with a slightly modified song list, which included the singles from the previous album Angels with Dirty Faces . However, after the second single did not hit the charts, the release was canceled.
The album received mixed, mostly positive reviews. The Guardian speaks of "excellent songs", but also of the fact that one notices nothing on this album of the charisma and other attributes which the Sugababes are assigned and which supposedly set them apart from other groups.
