(2006)

Taller in More Ways (German: In several respects greater ) is the fourth album of the British girl group Sugababes . It was released on October 31, 2005. The album was produced by Dallas Austin and Guy Sigsworth . The title of the album was inspired by a line of text from the second single, Ugly .

The lead single of the album Push the Button was an international success. The album has sold over 1,000,000 copies in the UK alone.

Background information

In 2008 Keisha Buchanan announced in an interview with Mirror.co.uk that Mutya Buena was not involved in the songwriting at all during the production phase , unlike before. Nevertheless, she is named as a co-author of 8 songs on the album. The reason for this was the band's policy of "dividing everything by three". On December 21, 2005, Buena finally announced that she was leaving the band because she had plans for a solo career. She was replaced by Amelle Berrabah . Then the label decided to re-release the album. For this, Berrabah re-recorded Buena's vocal tracks for the songs Gotta Be You , Follow me Home and Red Dress . In addition, a new song called Now You're Gone was recorded.

criticism

“The target will also be met this year. The Sugababes again deliver four potential hit singles, garnish them with some filler material, of which a maximum of three songs fall through the quality grid, and a sympathetic pop album is finished, of which the listener should not have excessive expectations. Then he is offered almost three quarters of an hour, which is known as 'popcorn cinema' in films. And who really wants to rant about it? "
