In 1983 Michael Des Barres and Holly Knight wrote the song. Knight is responsible for the sequencer riff and Barres for the lyrics. It was released on November 23, 1984 on the Mercury record label . The song also appeared as a 7 "and 12" singles on Mercury and Polygram .

Use in the soundtrack of movies and a computer game
