Heidi Range
Heidi India Range (* 23. May 1983 in Liverpool , Merseyside ) is a British pop and R & B - singer and songwriter . She was a founding member of the British pop girl group Atomic Kitten and from 2001 until its dissolution in 2011 a member of the British pop girl group Sugababes .
biography
Heidi Range is the daughter of Paul Range and Karen Livingstone and has a sister and four half-siblings. From 2003, Range was dating the British television presenter Dave Berry. The couple got engaged on New Year's Eve 2009 while on vacation in India , but separated in mid-2011. Heidi Range has been married to Alex Partakis since September 2016.
Music career
Atomic kitten
Range started her career in 1998 with Liz McClarnon and Kerry Katona as a founding member of the British pop girl group Atomic Kitten. In 1999 she left the band again because she did not agree with the style of the music. Although she recorded the entire first album with the band, she never released anything with Atomic Kitten.
Sugababes
In 2001 Range joined the British pop girl group Sugababes as a replacement for Siobhán Donaghy, who had left the band . With the Sugababes, she had five top 10 albums so far, two of which reached # 1 ( Taller in More Ways and Change ), as well as 18 top 10 singles, of which six reached # 1 ( Freak Like Me , Round Round , Hole in the Head , Push the Button , Walk This Way (with Girls Aloud and About You Now ). At the end of 2009 Keisha Buchanan , the only remaining founding member of the Sugababes, was replaced by Jade Ewen . Both Range and her bandmate Amelle Berrabah later said in interviews that they could no longer work with Buchanan. They also stated that they both wanted to leave the band, but management wanted to keep them and instead removed Buchanan from the band. In September 2013, bandmate Jade Ewen announced that the Sugababes had split up in 2011.
From January 8, 2012 to February 19, 2012 Range was a participant in the seventh season of the British show Dancing On Ice . Furthermore, she can be seen in the musical Happy Day in 2014 .
