Jennifer "Jenny" Frost (* 22. February 1978 in Wallasey , Merseyside ) is a British pop - singer , dancer , television presenter and model . She was a member of the British pop girl group Precious from 1998 to 2000 and from 2001 to 2004 a member of the British pop girl group Atomic Kitten .

Life

Jenny Frost grew up in Manchester . She has been fascinated by music since her youngest childhood . At the age of nine, her father took her to a concert by the British band Level 42 . In addition, she was also enthusiastic about sports and dancing. However, her dream was modeling. After attending St Monica's High School in Prestwich , she worked for BBC Television - a specialty program of the BBC - and traveled around the world.

Precious

Frost started her music career in 1998 in the British girl group Precious, which took part in the British preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest in Jerusalem in 1999 with the song Say It Again and won it. Although Say It Again was a top ten hit in the UK charts, it flopped at the Eurovision Song Contest, and Precious only came twelfth with 38 points. Further releases by Precious achieved only modest success, which was ultimately decisive for the breakup of the band in 2000.

Atomic kitten

2001 replaced Frost - because of their pregnancy resigned - Kerry Katona in the girl group Atomic Kitten. After the release of the third album, Natasha Hamilton , Liz McClarnon and Frost decided to take a break in 2004. In 2005, 2006 and 2008 there were brief reunions for the publication of charity songs. At the beginning of 2012, plans for a reunion were announced, which were later rejected because of the differences between Frost and Katona. In the end, however, the reunion came about when Atomic Kitten took part in the documentary The Big Reunion , broadcast by British broadcaster ITV2 in early 2013 . The cast brought about a change, however; so Katona was there instead of Frost. On March 28, 2013, Hamilton announced that Frost would be welcome for a comeback anytime.

Solo career

On October 10, 2005, Frost released her debut single Crash Landing , which was ranked 47th in the UK singles chart. A solo flower from Frost never appeared. In 2009 she announced that she no longer wanted to actively participate in the music business as a solo artist, but only as a member of Atomic Kitten.
