Musée de l'Atelier de Rosa Bonheur
The Musée de l'Atelier de Rosa Bonheur in Thomery , a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region , is located in the former studio of the painter Rosa Bonheur .
In 1859 she bought the Château de By , the castle of the formerly independent municipality of By , on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest , and set up her studio there in a neo-Gothic outbuilding.
After Bonheur's death in 1899, the studio remained almost identical.
