Museo Taurino Municipal de Córdoba
The Museo Taurino Municipal de Córdoba is a public museum in the city of Córdoba , Andalusia .
The museum is located in the Plaza de Maimónides and has kept objects of art from the bullfighting tradition of the city of Cordoba since it opened on May 30, 1954 .
The exhibits are historical works of local handicrafts such as embroidery, leather and silver work and various parts that were used in traditional bullfighting. Part of the exhibition shows the clothing of the great and well-known bullfighters of Córdoba, such as artfully embroidered capes and costumes of the legendary bullfighters, such as Rafael Molina "Lagartijo" , Rafael Guerra "Guerrita" , Rafael González "Machaquito" , Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez "Manolete" and Manuel Benítez "El Cordobés" . In the inner courtyard of the museum there is a library, prepared bull heads, famous horses, sculptures and paintings. The historic building of the Municipal Bullfighting Museum was renovated from 2005 to 2012.
