The Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen ( Spanish for Museum of Word and Image ) is a Salvadoran cultural museum in San Salvador that emerged from a citizens' initiative in the early 1990s. Nowadays the museum is established as a non-commercial foundation.

Since 2004, the museum has presented important examples of Salvadoran cultural and historical assets in various exhibitions that are in danger of being forgotten. The titles of the exhibitions were for example "Legado de Salarrué ", "Memoria de los Izalcos ", "1932", "De la Guerra y la Paz" or "Patria Peregrina - Pedro Geoffroy Rivas ". The objects are classified and digitized step by step. The collections contain manuscripts, photographs, sound and video recordings, objects and publications that have been donated to the museum.
