The Museum "Old Village" ( Ukrainian Музей "Старе село" ) is an open-air museum of folk architecture in the Ukrainian village of Kolochava in Carpathian Ukraine .

The museum

The "Old Village" museum was the first of 10 planned museums in Kolochava. In addition to exhibits from the 300-year history of the village, the museum includes over 20 buildings and outbuildings, including a Jewish inn with a real debt register and a gendarmerie .

There are monuments from different epochs of different ethnic groups and houses of people of different professions (sheep farmer, miller, woodcutter) and different social status.

In 2009 the museum won first place in the Ukrainian museum competition in the category “Traditions and customs of my homeland”.

Next to the museum is a narrow-gauge railway , which is also part of the complex of 10 museums , and can be used to continue to the vehicle museum . A bunker and a museum with military equipment from the Second World War can also be visited.
