The Musikiathek is a German, cross-genre online magazine in the field of music, founded in 2014 and based in Bochum .

reporting

The reporting takes place mainly in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Ruhr area , as well as increasingly supra-regional in the area around Berlin , Hamburg , Frankfurt and Würzburg .

In addition to daily news (news, interviews, reviews) about music, bands and artists, there is also a great focus on reporting at concerts , especially with concert / event photos.

In 2017, the music library attended more than 150 events ( concerts , festivals , events ) and last year it photographed over 400 national and international bands. From Toten Hosen, Marteria, Kontra K, James Blunt and Hurts, to numerous young bands and go-arounds. The music library offers a platform for large events such as Bochum Total , or smaller events such as the Rock Spektakulum Herne or Sued Kultur. They say “(...) good music should always be supported, no matter how well known or from which genre."
