The music school Fröhlich was founded on January 13, 1977 in Eschenburg - Simmersbach by Dieter Fröhlich.
The franchise company is one of the largest private music schools in Germany and one of the largest accordion schools in the world. In 1982 it started as a franchise company with eleven partners. In 1997, Fröhlich received the German Franchise Prize for this. The school is a member of the German Franchise Association. V , whose president is the founder of the music school. In 2010, the company was ranked 14th among the largest franchise companies in Germany.
Freelance franchisees need basic musical training or pedagogical training with basic musical knowledge. The teaching concept and all work materials (notes, instruments) are created and organized centrally; the individual licensees are contractually obliged to use and sell these exclusively.
Teaching concept
The first instrument students learn is usually the melodica. There is an option to start playing the carillon. However, this option is only available in connection with the music studies lessons that take place in kindergarten. After kindergarten you can switch to the melodica. This is followed by the accordion, which is initially played with 30 keys and 60 bass buttons, later with 37 keys and 120 bass buttons. The highest status is obtained as a member of the orchestra. The orchestra has a different name for each catchment area of the owner (e.g. orchestra harmonica melodies).
Carillon
In connection with the glockenspiel, children in kindergarten take part in music studies. In doing so, they repeatedly learn the notes of the C major scale in conjunction with the mascot Toffel . Every year, the tones are taught in different subject areas through small stories (e.g. The Bell Man Kling ). The general knowledge of the children is promoted (e.g. in relation to the planets of the universe or famous musicians and their historical meanings). The children also learn songs that are given by employees of the administration for the entire federal territory.
Melodica
At school age children are taught to play the melodic. At the same time, you will learn about other note names, about accidentals and some important composers. Until further notice, the mascot is called Theo .
Accordion orchestra / pre-orchestra
After completing the melodic exam, students will be directed to the accordion. The learners are taught about rhythms, styles and musical rules. There is also the possibility to be active singing.
Year-end concert
At the end of each year there is a final concert with all levels. The date is set by the respective district manager.
