The Musterring International Josef Höner GmbH & Co. KG is a provider of furniture and furnishing products . history

Musterring was founded in 1938 by the furniture architect Josef Höner. In the post-war period, the company quickly rose to become a well-known supplier of quality furniture in Germany.

In 1953, for 250,000 copies of the bedroom "M49" sold, Musterring received the "Grand Prix" from the German Economics Minister Ludwig Erhard on the occasion of the exhibition "Everyone should live better".

At the end of the 1950s, business activities were expanded to Austria, and at the beginning of the 1970s to Canada and Japan. Today Musterring is represented in 25 countries.

The Musterring range includes numerous product groups: living rooms and bedrooms, coffee tables , dining rooms, upholstered furniture, kitchens, upholstered beds, mattresses, box spring beds, floorboards, bathroom furniture, carpets and lights.

A first take-away collection was developed in 2008 under the name “set one by Musterring”. It is an independent brand for the “Young Living” segment. The first exclusive bathroom furniture collection followed in 2009.

In 2013, 2014 and 2015 the Stiftung Warentest declared one Musterring product to be the test winner.

Abroad, the range is adapted to the circumstances of the respective market.

Production and sales

The range is currently being produced at around 40 different locations in accordance with uniform quality standards. In Germany, Musterring is offered exclusively by around 130 trading partners with around 300 sales outlets.

Around 400 trading partners worldwide carry the brand. China and Taiwan are among the largest international growth markets, and many new studios have recently been built here. For logistical reasons, some of the products are manufactured locally for the Asian market.

Innovations and Cooperations

When conventional TV sets were replaced by the first generations of flat screens, Musterring worked with Sharp to design new home theater solutions in which the screens were physically integrated into the furniture.

Since 2013, Musterring has been working with harman / kardon to develop audio furniture that enables sound systems to be accommodated invisibly from the outside.

marketing and advertisement

While the Musterring trading partners are responsible for the regional advertising activities, Musterring takes on the supraregional brand communication. Catalogs, brochures, image advertisements, online media, PR and trade events are used here. In addition, numerous materials for branding at the point of sale are made available to retailers .

The actor Sky du Mont has been the official Musterring brand ambassador since 2013 . The brand's position was further expanded through TV, cinema and radio advertising. Forsa determined a significant increase in brand awareness and a strengthening of image values ​​after the TV advertising was first broadcast in early 2013.
