My Darkest Hate is a German death metal band.
history
The band was founded by Jörg M. Knittel (formerly Sacred Steel ) in the 1990s with the aim of making death metal . After six years of looking for suitable band members, he found the singer René Pfeiffer.
Together with him he recorded the demo Blood Pounding Black in 1998 , back then with a drum computer instead of a drummer.
In 1999 Klaus Sperling (drums; inter alia Ex- Primal Fear ) and Oliver Grosshans (guitar; ex-Sacred Steel) joined the band.
In October 2000 the debut album Massive Brutality was recorded, which was released in April 2001 on Vile Music / Zomba .
In summer 2001, René Pfeiffer left the band due to a massive tinnitus disease and ended his musical career. Chris Simper stepped in for him on vocals and Oliver Schort on bass. After the release of the debut album, My Darkest Hate signed a recording deal with Massacre Records .
With the 2002 album To Whom It May Concern they took 10th place in Rock Hard . In the summer, the band played at some major festivals, such as Party.San and Summer Breeze .
In February 2004 the third album At War was released and in March 2006 the current album Combat Area was released.
In 2006 Chris Simper left the band and was replaced by Claudio Enzler ( Sacrificium , Thy Bleeding Skies).
In 2008 Roberto Palacios (Insanity, Chinchilla ) made the last change of musician on bass.
It wasn't until July 2016 that the band announced a new album called Anger Temple via the label Massacre Records , which should be released in the fall of the same year. It also became known that Jonas Khalil has now replaced Oliver Grosshans on guitar.
