My Life Is a Party is a song of the German Dance - Trio ItaloBrothers that on 27 July 2012 as the 14th single was released the trio. The publication took place via the German EDM label Kontor Records . The song can be assigned to the hands-up music style and uses a melody sample of the song Dragostea din tei by the Moldovan-Romanian boy group O-Zone from 2003 in the chorus .

My Life Is a Party was written, composed and produced by Kristian Sandberg, Mathias Metten and Zacharias Adrian, the members of the Italobrothers. For the chorus of the song they used a melody sample of the song Dragostea din tei by the Moldovan-Romanian boy group O-Zone from 2003, which was written by Manör Sevan alias Utopia and Dan Bălan . After the trio had been under contract with the German music label Zooland Records for several years , they signed another contract with the Kontor Records label . My Life Is a Party is their first release through both labels.

A remix by the German DJ and producer duo RIO was released parallel to the original version . For this Metten sang the song again. This version was used in particular to market the song via compilations , on the radio and also for use in the official music video.

Music video

The official music video was uploaded to the Kontor Records label's official YouTube channel on July 25, 2012 . The video is 3:43 minutes long. The remix from the dance project RIO was used as background music for the video. The video begins with two scenes that are shown alternately. One shows the two band members Mathias Metten and Zacharias Adrian in a minibus and another shows the flags of the cities that are mentioned in the lyrics. As for the chorus, only Metten and Adrian are shown on the bus. The two drive on and on along a country road and keep forking young women and a grandpa. After driving across the beautiful landscape, you arrive at a beach. Everyone gets out and Adrian, the trio's DJ , takes his mixer out of the party bus and starts playing on it to match the music. Grandpa always comes with a walking stick and pounds on it. Adrian doesn't mind, and at the end of the song everyone is sitting in a group and a young woman is dancing with her boyfriend. Finally, it is shown how Kristian Sandberg, the third band member, fetches a postcard showing a yacht from the letter slot on his front door. He takes a quick look at the back and a grin crosses his face. The video received over 450,000 views after three days.

Chart placements

In Germany, the song entered the top 100 at number 43. In Austria he climbed to the top 20 and landed on rank 18, making him the most successful there. In the Swiss charts he was only to be found for a week in 62nd place.
