Zooland Records is a German record label founded in 2005 by Manuel Reuter alias Manian and Yann Peifer alias Yanou .

history

In 2005 the two German DJs and producers Manian and Yanou founded the label Zooland Records in order to be able to market their records themselves. Since it was founded, especially hands-up and techno producers have switched to this label. At the beginning of 2007 a sub-label was added with “ZooGroove” , which is intended for the publication of house tracks. Zooland Records has since specialized in hands-up music. The second sub-label "Zoo Digital" followed in summer 2008 and focuses on digital publications. The third sub-label "Bazooka", also for digital publications, has been around since 2009. With the founding of the sub-label "PUNCH", the hands-up sector was outsourced in order to concentrate on the more lucrative house genre at Zooland published again on Zooland Hands-Up. "PUNCH" should be presented on December 16, 2010 on the Internet radio station TechnoBase.FM . However, this idea never happened.

Warnings for copyright infringement

Zooland Records has the law firms Nürmann + Lang (Karlsruhe) and WeSaveYourCopyrights (Frankfurt) prosecute copyright infringements for artists it represents (RIO, Cascada, etc.) in file sharing networks or with share hosts. The warnings are sent in almost the same wording to a large number of owners of Internet connections after their data has been requested by the respective provider by means of an injunction. The letters are written in an intimidating choice of words and are primarily aimed at ensuring that the recipients comply with a payment request for damages (over at least 450 euros) and submit a declaration of discontinuance.
