Spencer & Hill is the name of a German house project that was founded by DJs and producers Manuel Reuter and Manuel Schleis . In 2006, the also German DJ Dennis Nicholls joined the duo.

Career

In 2004 the DJs Manuel Reuther , better known as Manian, producer and DJ of projects such as RIO or Cascada , founded the project “Spencer & Hill” together with Manuel Schleis . They are also known as "Peter Spencer & Josh Hill" or "S&H Project" to songs by their own and all other musicians such as Ian Carey , Taio Cruz , Bob Sinclar or Medina .

The first release was an EP called Spencer & Hill EP in October 2005 . This contained her first three recordings. The duo then released their first single in November 2005. This appeared under the name Wanna Be . In addition to the song, the single also contained two other titles. The EP and the single were released by the record label Star Rouge Records . In addition, the German DJ Dennis Nicholls alias D-Stylez, who forms the Twoloud project together with Manian , joined the project unofficially, but remains in the background, so Spencer & Hill are still considered a duo.

In 2009, the DJs and dealers who also compile the German Dance Charts (DDC) voted Spencer & Hill “Dance Act of the Year 2009”. In addition to numerous placements in the dance charts of all countries, they landed their first placement in the official Austrian single charts at the end of 2009 with the song Trespasser .

The title Cantina , released in 2010, was the first song to be released on the dance label Kontor Records . The track was recorded in collaboration with Bastian Van Shield. It is based on the Star Wars soundtrack . Thereupon several singles appeared on Kontor, as well as on Manian's own label Zooland Records . In February 2011 they released the first album of their House Beats Made in Germany compilation series . A year later, in February 2012, Vol. 2 was released. In addition to the greatest successes of their career, remixes by the duo, the series also contains all of the other dance and electro hits of the time.

in 2012 they celebrated their greatest commercial successes with their singles Believe It with the Pakistani singer Nadia Ali , Surrender with Ari and Let Out da Freak together with the German singer Mimoza. The tracks are a mixture of pop music and their typical electro style. At the same time, numerous non-vocal tracks were released on the record labels Spinnin 'Records and Wall Records . In addition, the duo received remix orders from well-known musicians such as David Guetta and Showtek .
