Career

Successes of various projects

The German Hands-up - DJ Manian founded in 2005 with producer Yanou the label " Zooland Records ". Together with him he is behind numerous projects. Alone or together with various other producers, he leads projects such as “ Spencer & Hill ”, “Tune Up!”, “Bulldozzer”, “Phalanx” with Manuel Schleis or “Black Toys” with Dan Winter. With all kinds of projects of this kind he had great success in the clubs and in some cases also single-chart successes.

Furthermore, he is the founder of the bands " RIO ", 2007 with Yanou, and " Cascada ", 2002 with Yanou and Natalie Horler , which are considered to be the most internationally successful dance projects in Germany. With RIO's Turn This Club Around and Cascada's Evacuate the Dancefloor , he was in the top ten in many countries.

On May 18, 2013, he joined Yanou and Natalie Horler as Cascada for Germany at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest . There they played the song Glorious and took 21st place.

At the end of 2013, he founded the Twoloud project together with Dennis Nicholls . However, the duo didn't want to be recognized immediately. On their appearances they wore hoods pulled wide over their faces, in the music videos they can usually be seen from behind and they cannot be recognized on their single covers. However, through various sources, such as the credits on their track, it finally came out who is behind the pseudonym. Collaborations with artists such as Tiësto and Ummet Ozcan emerged.

Success as a solo artist

His first single as a solo artist was released on June 13, 2007 and was entitled Lovesong . He then released several cover songs such as Heat of the Moment , Heaven and Turn the Tide . The singer Alia took part in a large number of his songs. In 2009 one of his most successful songs was released, Ravers Fantasy , whose music video was viewed over 12,000,000 times. The follow-up singles Ravers in the UK and Welcome to the Club were also big hits. In addition, Welcome to the Club reached the Austrian and British single charts. In addition to his work as a producer, Manuel Reuter is also regularly booked as a DJ in European discos .

On July 7th, 2010 his first studio album, Welcome to the Club, was released . In addition to many solo singles, this also includes selected songs and remixes of his hands-up projects. The EP Singles 2004-2010 followed in autumn 2010 . In 2011 he brought out the compilation Best of Manian , which served as a "gap filler" to gain time for his second album.

For a long time he has also appeared as a remixer, for example with other hands-up producers such as Crystal Lake or Rob Mayth. In November 2012, Hands Up Forever was released , the first single from the album of the same name Hands Up Forever , which was released in February 2013.

In December 2012 the single Don't Stop the Dancing was released , which he recorded with the German rapper Carlprit , who is under contract with his label Zooland Records . The single entered the Austrian and Swiss charts within a week. The track also conquered the French charts.

The third single was released on February 1, 2013, the song I'm in Love With the DJ . He recorded this together with the rapper Nicci. The singer of the chorus was not specified on the single or on the album. Various critics and fans compared the chorus with Euphoria by Loreen , as well as the rap parts with Remady , Manu-L and J-Sons single ladies .

At the end of February the studio album Hands Up Forever was released . It quickly reached the German and Austrian album charts. It was his first record that could be placed in Germany. In contrast to his debut album Welcome to the Club , the titles are much more commercial.

The fourth single was released on May 24, 2013, the song Tonight together with the American singer and rapper Nicco . The title track is available in remix and album versions from Manian's RIO project . The single also contains two hands-up remixes by Alex Megane and Manox .

The fifth and final single from the album was Just Another Night , which was recorded together with the Italian Italo and electro house project Floorfilla. The singer of the chorus is unknown. The track was released digitally as well as on CD single with various ending versions from both Manian and Floorfilla.

With the Swiss singer Maury , known as the singer of many DJ Antoine songs such as Ma Chérie , Hello Romance or Broadway , Manian recorded the song Cinderella in the summer of 2013 . This was released on July 26, 2013 as a single, exclusively through Zooland Records . Another song followed in September 2013, called We Don't Care . Despite being called Video Edit , no official music video was made.

He also worked as a songwriter on the song Surrender by Dave Doringo and Jenson Vaughan, known as the singer of many DJ Antoine songs, including Sky Is the Limit . At the beginning of 2014, after a remix for Play Hard, another collaboration with the world-famous house DJ David Guetta took place . Together with Showtek and a few other songwriters, they produced the song Bad , which became a worldwide club hit. However, Reuter was only named in the contributors. In January 2014 he also released the song Colors , which can be found on Hardwell's studio album United We Are, together with the Dutch DJs Hardwell and Tiësto and singer-songwriter Andreas Moe .
