Everytime We Touch is a song by Scottish singer Maggie Reilly from 1992. The song was part of her 1992 studio album Echoes and had her first commercial solo success since working with Mike Oldfield in the 1980s.
background
After Reilly celebrated Europe-wide success between 1982 and 1984 with songs like Moonlight Shadow or To France , she started a solo career in 1991. She introduced this with the song What About Tomorrows Children . After this was only able to achieve a single chart placement in the Netherlands, the track Everytime We Touch followed in March 1992 . This was written and composed with Stuart Mackillop and Peter Risavy. Armand Volker and Stefan Zauner stood by her side as producers. The market-leading record label " Electrola " had the song licensed and published.

Commercial win
The song was an instant hit. The song advanced to the singles charts in numerous European countries, for example in Austria alone, while Reilly was number one in Norway for eight weeks. Everytime We Touch also made it into the top 20 in Germany and Poland .

Version of Cascada
Background
In 2005 the German dance project Cascada covered the song in a hands-up style. With their version of Everytime We Touch they celebrated one of their most successful singles . The song was released on August 16, 2005 as a download and CD single . A year later, the song found space on the studio album of the same name Everytime We Touch .
Behind the production of the cover are the two German DJs Manuel Reuter and Yann Pfeifer , who form the trio with Natalie Horler. Horler is the only singer on the new recording. The single was released on the music label "Robbins Entertainment" and " Zooland Records ", the label of Manian and Yanou.
The version by Cascada in particular experienced numerous new remix versions in the most varied of styles in the following years, some of which were released separately on streaming and download portals. There are reinterpretations of, among others, Fallen Superheroes in Hardstyle, B3nte in Melbourne Bounce or Hardwell and Maurice West in hands-up style, some of which have been heard millions of times.
Music Video
The official video was on 7 March 2007 on the official YouTube channel of the music label All Around the World uploaded. It starts with Natalie Horler , the singer of the project. You can see how she goes into a library. The film was shot in the Public Library in New York. She climbs on a table and the music starts. The people who read there look at you puzzled, but slowly go with the beat. Afterwards they all jump up, some start dancing, others stand around the table and jump up and down. The video has been viewed over 105 million times after eleven years.
