Yanou
Yanou (real name Yann Peifer ; * 1974 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German DJ and music producer .
Music career
In the second half of the 1990s, Peifer first attracted attention when he and Michael Urgacz as Beam & Yanou landed several hits in Germany and Switzerland.
In 2001, the collaboration came with DJ Sammy and the Dutch singer Thu . Together they recorded the hit Heaven by Bryan Adams from the 1980s in a dance version. They had a number 1 hit in Great Britain and reached the top 10 in Germany and the USA, among others.
In the Netherlands, he then worked as a producer for the Idols candidates.
He also founded the Cascada project as a singer with DJ Manian and Natalie Horler . In 2004 the trio had their first international hit with Miracle and the following year they had their worldwide breakthrough with Everytime We Touch , which was as successful as Heaven .
Manian and Yanou founded their own label Zooland Records in 2005 , with which they not only market Cascada and other projects of their own, but also other dance artists.
Other artists with whom Yanou worked and released singles are Liz Kay , Yves Larock and the rapper Tony T, with whom he started the RIO project together with Manian in 2007 .
