The Warnker See is located south of Waren (Müritz) in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and northeast of the Müritz in the east of the Mecklenburg Lake District . The 45.6 hectare body of water at 62.5 m above sea level. NHN is located in the Müritz National Park . It extends from northeast to southwest and has a maximum dimension of 1070 meters by 550 meters. Half of the lake is surrounded by forest, the rest is taken up by pastures. There is a viewing platform for bird watching on both the northeast and southwest banks. Between August and October, the Warnker See is one of the most important resting waters for ducks in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, especially for tufted ducks and pochedons .
There is a tributary from the Moorsee and an outflow connection to Müritz, which is only 570 meters away.
