Evacuate the Dancefloor is the most successful single of the German dance project Cascada to date . The single was released on July 3, 2009 as a download and CD single and can be found on the album of the same name, which was released shortly afterwards, Evacuate the Dancefloor . The song was recorded with the German rapper Carlprit .

Evacuate the Dancefloor was composed and written by Manuel Reuter , Yann Pfeifer and Allan Eshuys. Natalie Horler is the singer of the song. It was produced by Manian and Yanou, the project's DJs and producers , and released through their own record label, Zooland Records . Instrumentally, it only contains synthesizer elements that come from the two DJs.

Music video

The official video was uploaded to the All Around The World record label's official YouTube channel on May 19, 2009 . At the beginning you can see Natalie Horler , the singer of the project. She sings the first passage of the song. This is shown in several scenes. During the chorus, you can see several hip-hop dancers doing their dance steps and moves to match the music. Carlprit is also shown in his rap part. He also makes appropriate mouth movements to the music running in the background. The two official videos were clicked over 55,000,000 times after three years. The video was nominated for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA's) in Los Angeles.

Evacuate the Dancefloor entered the German charts at number six on July 20, 2009 . In the following week the song was able to climb to number five, which also means the highest position for the song in the German charts. Overall, he was able to stay in the top 10 for seven weeks. For over 150,000 CDs sold, Cascada received a gold record . In Austria and Switzerland the song also reached the top 10. In the UK , Evacuate the Dancefloor reached number one on July 11, 2009 and stayed there for two weeks. The song stayed in the UK singles charts for six weeks and was awarded silver. In the United States , the song reached # 25 as the top ranking. Because the single sold over 1,500,000 times, it was awarded platinum by the RIAA . The song was in the top 10 of the singles charts in over 20 countries around the world and, besides England, it was also number one in the Netherlands.

Evacuate the Dancefloor was nominated in the categories Best HiNRG / Euro Track and Best Pop Dance Track at the International Dance Music Awards 2010. Furthermore, the song was nominated for the VIVA Comet 2010 in the category Best Party Song . The video for Evacuate the Dancefloor received a nomination for Best Dance Video at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards .
