Andreas Moe
Andreas Moe (born October 2, 1988 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer , songwriter , producer and multi-instrumentalist, who became known through his collaboration with Avicii .

Life
Moe was born in Stockholm on October 2, 1988 and began writing and singing songs at an early age. His musical beginnings were very similar to the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Michael Jackson . Later his music developed in the direction of acoustic melodies which he played with his guitar . He was mostly inspired by the sounds of artists like Jeff Buckley . Moe later performed his own works in various youth centers and bars in Stockholm and won first place as session guitarist with Bosson and Ulrik Munther . After signing a record deal with UK Publishing in January 2011 , he worked as a producer and singer. This was followed by another offer from Insomnia Management , which he has not yet signed.
Career
Andreas Moe started uploading a few acoustic versions of various songs to YouTube in 2011. Then the Swedish singer John Martin became aware of him and wrote lyrics for the instrumental track Penguin by Avicii and gave it to Moe. He sang the song and uploaded the video to his YouTube channel and was then invited to the studio by Avicii. In July 2011 the song was released as a single under the title Fade Into Darkness and reached placements in the Swedish, Romanian and Dutch single charts. The song would also appear in the UK until Leona Lewis released another vocal version called Collide . Avicii later claimed that Lewis' record company Syco "stole" the track. Avicii and Andreas Moe eventually had Leona Lewis appear on trial and his name appeared on the single Collide , meaning Fade into Darkness was also released in the UK.
In December 2011, Moe co-wrote and guest musician on the John De Sohn track Long Time . The song rose to number 3 in the Swedish singles chart and reached platinum status. In April 2012 it appeared again on Tiësto's compilation Club Life: Volume Two Miami . Soon after, it was announced that Long Time was first played on US radio on May 20, 2012 and will be released in the US at the end of the year.
In May 2012, Moe announced on his Facebook page that the digital release of his first EP, Collecting Sunlight, was scheduled for June 25, 2012. It was only released in the UK on the iTunes Store and Spotify . The EP was released on June 29, 2012 in Scandinavia via the record label Sony Music Sweden . Moe wrote and sang four songs on the soundtrack to the film The Knot of Noel Clarke .
In 2012 another song appeared on the Internet. It's called Last Dance . Here he worked again with the Swedish DJ Avicii . However, the song did not appear as a single. It was only found on different samplers.
After the Dutch house DJ Tiësto announced that a studio album was planned for 2014, all the tracks appeared on the Internet. Most of them were live recordings of his performance at the Ultra Music Festival . Among them was the song Echoes , in which he participated as a singer. A single release of the song did not follow. Only a short time later, the Dutch DJ Hardwell decided to record a track with Moe and Tiësto. This resulted in the song Colors , which can be found on Hardwell's second studio album United We Are in 2015 .
In 2017 he appeared with a band as opening act for John Mayer on the short European part of his The Search for Everything tour.
Success as a songwriter
Since the beginning of his career, Moe has also been active as a songwriter for many songs. His first song, on which he was ranked as a co-author, was the single Won't You Stay for Chris Hordijk, which won number 2 on the Dutch talent show The Voice of Holland . The track rose to number 6 in the Dutch Top 40, as did the successor single Jump From a Waterfall . He was also the co-author of Silke Mastbooms' first single. She won second place on the Belgian talent show The Voice of Belgium . The song was called Awake and reached 2nd place in the Belgian Top 50.
In May 2012, Caggie Dunlop, best known for the TV series Made in Chelsea , wrote on her Twitter account that she had been on a writing session with Andreas Moe.
In August 2012, Moe achieved his first number one hit of his songwriting career. He wrote the song Alles Overwinnen for the Dutch duo Nick en Simon .
