J-Son (born April 27, 1985 ; actually Julimar Santos Oliveira Neponuceno ) is a Brazilian rapper , singer and songwriter .
Career
J-Son was born in a poor village near Bahia, Brazil . The current rapper moved to Stockholm with his mother at the age of five and grew up there in a musical family. In his youth he discovered his passion as a hip hopper . He currently lives in Gothenburg and started his career in 2008 with the songs Lookie Lookie and Pretty Boy on the label EMI Music Publishing .
In November 2008 he released his first album Never Half Stepping . It reached number 48 in the Swedish charts.
J-Son produced the songs Extacy ( 50 Cent ) and Loser ( Lil Wayne ) , among others . In May 2009 his third single, My Window , was released, which he recorded with the singer Yaiya. This was followed by singles like Head in the Sky or Destination Sky .
He reached number 50 in the Belgian charts in 2010 with Mischa Daniels with the song Where You Wanna Go and in the summer of 2011 with Eric Saade and the song Hearts in the Air at number 2 in the Swedish charts.
His first number 1 single is called Single Ladies . It was the Swiss House - DJ Remady the and singer Manu-L was added and reached the third week No. 1 on the Swiss chart . He himself says: I don't want to be called a rap artist, I'm a musician and not a rapper. I do all kinds of music .
