Mykhaylo Nykyforowytsch Chorny ( Ukrainian Михайло Никифорович Чорний , Russian Михаил Никифорович Чёрный Mikhail Nikiforowitsch Tschjorny * 26. November 1933 in Mala Zhmerynka , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist.

Life

Mychajlo Chornyj was born in the village of Mala Shmerynka ( Мала Жмеринка ) in Vinnytsia Oblast . He received his artistic training at the Odessa Art School , which he graduated in 1963, and then at the Kiev State Art Institute , which he graduated in 1968 and finally until 1973 at the creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR . In 1972 he became a member of the Artists' Union of the Ukrainian SSR . Since he has participated in exhibitions with his works of art from 1968, his pictures and drawings have been shown at more than two hundred exhibitions. He also took part in art festivals in Kiev in 1996 and 1997 and in open-air events in Nemyriv and Khust .
