Mystic Force is an American power and progressive metal band from Baltimore , Maryland that was formed in 1983.
history
After the band was founded in 1983, the first self-titled demo followed in 1987. The next demo followed with With Rank Comes Rule in 1988, which Blind Vision joined in 1989 . Then the band reached a contract with CMFT Records , which in 1989 released the EP Take Command . However, just a few weeks after its release, CMFT Records went bankrupt. The EP was also released in the US on Killer Pro-Duction .
In 1990 the album Shipwrecked With the Wicked was released on Siegen Records . In the same year, a compilation via CMFT Productions was released with Take Command - The Demo Years . In 1993 the album Eternal Quest followed on the German label Rising Sun Records . After the album A Step Beyond was released in 1995 , a European tour with Metal Church and Vicious Rumors should follow. However, Rising Sun Records went bankrupt before that, so the tour was no longer possible. The album Man Vs. Machine could not be addressed. After all, there was time to get used to William Wren from Florida, who joined the longtime singer Bobby Hicks in September 1995. In 1999 the band recorded a cover version of Mercyful Fate's song Curse of the Pharaos , which can be heard on the Mercyful Fate tribute album The Unholy Sounds of the Demon Bells - A Tribute to Mercyful Fate . After the release of a demo, the album Man Vs. Machine .
style
The band plays progressive power metal, reminiscent of bands like Queensrÿche , Heir Apparent , Fates Warning , but also early Iron Maiden .
